Reporting to the VP of Community Relations, the Program Manager, Corporate Philanthropy and Communications will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and audiences to develop corporate philanthropy in across the organization and in communities across the country.


  • Provide programmatic and administrative support to develop and implement OneMain’s corporate philanthropy strategies related to grants, employee giving, volunteering and the matching gifts program.

  • Collaborate with corporate communications employees and assist in writing internal and external communications

  • Formalize and maintain the employee giving and volunteer programs

  • Provide oversight of matching gifts program, including providing donors with information and guidelines and maintaining the match program software

  • Engage with branch, corporate and central employees throughout the company to capture philanthropic ventures and community success stories

  • Serve as company liaison with corporate philanthropy partners, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships.

  • Contribute to the overall strategic development of ESG initiatives across all company businesses.

  • Gain a strong understanding of all company protocols and procedures to make informed decisions.

  • Contribute to a culture of high performance and continuous improvement


  • Bachelor’s degree is required in English, Journalism, Communications, Corporate Philanthropy, CSR or related area of study

  • Minimum of five years’ professional experience

  • Strong written and oral communications skills

  • Proficiency in building deep, lasting partnerships

  • Ability to influence and engage internal and external constituents

  • Energetic, organized, self-motivated, flexible, collaborative, and proactive

  • Able to motivate and collaborate across functions and divisions

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and donor management software

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Strong written and oral communications skills

  • Ability to maintain a budget
