The Manager of DevOps will be responsible for building, implementing and operationalizing DevOps practices, processes and tool chains across “One Main Financial”. He/She will lead several teams that are aligned with multiple lines of business and be a hands-on coach, mentoring and developing the DevOps resources. He/She will play a critical part in assessing the DevOps readiness of the teams across the organization and assist in implementing specific activates to improve DevOps maturity. In this role, they will play a key part in aligning the DevOps strategy and roadmap with the enterprise tech strategy.

Location: Hybrid - You should be willing to be in our beautiful downtown Baltimore office at least once a week to collaborate.

Responsibilities:

• Relentlessly improve the DevOps strategy to ensure scalability, reliability, and quality for our continuous integration pipeline utilizing the cloud, virtual machines

• Develop, coach, and nurture employees to perform at their best

• Oversee the implantation, deployment, and integration of solutions, ensuring successful delivery, high quality, and sustainability of solutions. Make recommendations and assessments of builds, deployments, tools, and DevOps processes across teams.

• Ensure the on-time delivery and coordination of DevOps initiatives in collaboration with architects and program managers to meet project deadlines

• Communicate DevOps strategy and accomplishments / impediments to stakeholders on a regular basis

• Foster an open communication and fast feedback with development teams to improve developer efficiency and workflows

• Be innovative and creative; stay up to date with new technology and utilize where appropriate.

• Be inquisitive and learn, learn, learn. Mentor others within your team and/or across departments.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

• 5+ years’ experience with critical IT/DevOps systems. 2+ years’ leading a team.

• Strong understanding of cloud architectures, especially AWS, including principles of Infrastructure As Code.

• Proficiency in Python , Terraform, or bash

• Efficiency Warrior: when faced with multiple tasks, you can strategize quickly and execute on those decisions.
