The Domain Data Architect (DDA) for Credit Card, Principal role requires a strong understanding of Data Architecture and engineering, how technology is used to drive business value and how to manage strategic Data initiatives.  The DDA will lead the work with enterprise data architect, Cards Analytics team, IT and Business Management to identify, design, and assist in the execution of key strategic Data initiatives.  The DDA will help align IT strategies and initiatives with the overall enterprise data strategies.  The DDA Lead will be a proven executive, capable of leading teams of varying sizes.

Role and Responsibility

  • Hands on coding 80%

  • Provide data architecture direction and guidance for the Credit Card business. 

  • Coordinate and align activities of IT and lines of business for establishing and executing against a domain data architecture.

  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, resiliency of Data platform supporting cards line of business. Provide data stewardship to cards domain.

  • Work with the Head of Cards Analytics, Cards IT, CTO, and Enterprise Data Architects on defining and adopting Cards data strategy and best practices.

  • Play an active role in defining data governance for Cards and participate in data council.

  • Prepare documentation / messaging necessary for Data to communicate strategies and plans to executive management.

  • Provide process engineering and PMO support the cards business as required Provide guidance on data security/protection requirement abiding to OMF data security/protection standards

  • Provide required artifacts such as Card domain Data Model, Dictionary & Data lineage

  • Provide guidance and work with the scrum team to resolve data defects and be able to articulate root cause to key stakeholders

  • Provide guidance on defining Data conformation (name and value) & quality rules

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum experience will include 10+ years performing executive-level coordination of IT/Data activities within mid-to-large sized financial services firms. 

  • Proficient in SQL, Python, SAS, or Scala Hands-on experience with various data modeling techniques and tools Experience in data integration patterns

  • Proficient with cloud-based architecture and DW/BI/Analytics domain knowledge with experience in Snowflake

  • Hands-on experience with one or more relational SQL and NoSQL database. Experienced with Credit Card business and understand the data lifecycle

  • Hands-on experience with Denormalization, Normalization, SCD and Data Vault based on use cases

  • Experienced in various data formats such as JSON, AVRO, Parquet, etc.

  • Experienced in Scale Agile framework and Kanban in Software/Product development

Preferred Qualification

  • Proven background in managing data projects, creating, and communicating strategy, leadership, aligning Data architecture with IT and business architectures. 

  • Working with business to define long-term business data strategy.

  • CDMP certified AWS Cloud Practitioner certified
