The Role

We are seeking an Assocate Director of Analytics Strategy and Planning to join our growing team in Wilmington, DE. This will be an integral strategic member of the executive team, playing an active role supporting the Chief Credit & Analytics Officer (CCO) on the organization’s cross cutting priorities. 

This individual will serve as the trusted aid and is responsible for the overall operations and effectiveness of the Analytics organization. This role will support the CCO in working and communicating effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, including team members, executives, and will actively assist in facilitating achievement of planning and strategy goals through data analysis, special project work, involvement in numerous cross functional teams, and providing recommendations for action to management.

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Tracking high priority initiatives for the executive and identifying any obstacles

  • Communicating initiative status to the executive, pulling in other executives or team members as necessary

  • Connecting teams that are working on similar initiatives

  • Pulling together and supporting individuals/ teams that require input from multiple areas within the company

  • Develop financial, operational, and customer metrics and manage measurement of metrics

  • Creating and updating monthly dashboards to track changes in key metrics

  • Identifying and taking on ad hoc strategic projects (for example, executing key initiatives or closing any operational gaps)

Financial

  • Facilitating the annual budget cycle process (for example, helping department heads prepare their budget materials for presentation to the executive)

  • Facilitating weekly staff meetings and monthly/quarterly business reviews and follow up tracking

  • In collaboration with Analytics teams, lead budget processes and manage in-quarter budget adjustments

  • Manage development of financial budgets and forecasts that align with strategic business initiatives

Communications

  • Drafting communications for executive in conjunction with Corporate Communications

  • Facilitating vital messages, ensuring they are relayed and cascaded

  • Drafting presentations and managing content collection from/ content development by various units

Workforce Engagement and Planning

  • Overseeing engagement and diversity and culture initiatives

  • Coordination of organizational structure and talent needs, identifying any gaps and development needs

  • Evaluate industry and competitive trends

  • Aligning internal processes related to company’s talent initiatives

  • Advisory/Proxy/Relationship Management

  • Serving as a trusted advisor and confidant to executive

  • Attending meetings in place of the executive

  • Making decisions in place of the executive, as delegated

  • Managing critical relationships on behalf of the executive

  • Providing decision support through data gathering, analysis, and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders

Administrative-Coordination with Executive Assistant

  • Scheduling high priority meetings and coordinating executive calendars

  • Planning and executing senior management retreats, all-hands meetings, and company off site meetings

  • Provide ongoing support in driving the Analytics strategic agenda and aligning with key decision makers

  • Prepare materials to communicate strategy and approach to senior leadership, the board, and shareholders, as appropriate

  • Utilize project management skills to create client-focused deliverables, delegate work, execute project analysis, and deliver strategic results

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree or MBA preferred

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in financial services, consulting, or private equity

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate, present, influence, and explain across multiple cross-functional stakeholders and management levels (e.g., work in MS Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify strategic needs, lead all aspects of planning with sound business recommendations, and generate alignment with key business partners

  • Collaborative and influential leadership style with the ability to influence others into action and to think creatively about solutions

  • Demonstrated project management skills and exceptional organizational savvy working and partnering cross-functional business leaders in all disciplines and delivering against business goals

  • Ability to understand and articulate industry and competitive insights

  • Experience building materials and presenting business cases

  • Ability to synthesize complex financial data and research into executive summaries

  • Track record of providing recommendations, analysis and presentations in support of complex business challenges and decisions
