The Role
We are currently seeking an VP/Director for our Originations Optimization team in Wilmington, DE. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the next evolution of OneMain’s strategy to optimize resource effectiveness in our branches and call centers while leading a small team of analysts.
Key aspects of the role include enhancing foundational analytics to generate insights for the approved to book funnel and to value and prioritize team member work efforts, partnering with cross functional technology teams to develop and manage capability roadmaps, and creating and managing a robust champion / challenger learning agenda. This role will also lead our application routing strategy, which has proven to be a powerful lever in driving conversion rate, focused on continuous evolution and optimization of this critical function.
A successful candidate will bring a structured approach to complex optimization problems. They will use data to generate new hypotheses and create testing constructs that can evolve the business but are executable in practice. Cross functional partnership will be critical as this individual will take a leadership role in significant technology projects seeking to enhance system capabilities. In addition, this individual will need strong communication skills capable of building consensus and strong partnerships at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
Using data-driven analysis and champion / challenger constructs to drive out a learning agenda for optimization of operational resources to increase conversion rate
Developing data-driven analysis, monitoring, and insights to understand the drivers of the approve to book funnel to influence existing and future strategies
Understanding the data environment and look for opportunities to mitigate potential gaps in data capture and integrity
Forming strong partnerships with cross functional teams to create and execute against capability roadmaps
Develop a strong understanding of digital and field operations, production goals, and operating constraints to ensure that the data is leveraged in solutions that lead to operational success
Participating in concept ideation and design exploration for future state technology capabilities
Maintaining and effectively prioritizing a backlog of competing initiatives
Effectively prioritize competing initiatives across direct reports; translate strategic priorities into individual/team initiatives
Communicating effectively at all levels of the organization
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate a plus) in a quantitative discipline, such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Management or Computer Science is preferred
7+ years of experience in complex, data-driven problem solving; Master’s or PHD degrees may offset experience
Strong SAS / SQL and Excel skills; proficiency in other analytical or business intelligence platforms is preferred
Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems
Experience managing and developing a team of direct reports is preferred
