Job Description

Join our Decision Analytics team dedicated to using data and modeling to identify new prospects, or population sub segments to target with campaigns designed to grow our business and reduce costs. This unique role combines both marketing perspectives with a credit risk reduction perspective for true optimization in program targeting

  • Responsible for data extraction and quantitative analysis to generate business insights
  • Extract and analyze data about our products, vintages, channels and customer segment
  • Assists in optimizing application and campaign routing by utilizing past performance and branch capacity to maximize volume and branch efficiency
  • Use Unix, SAS and SQL data query tools to build, test, evaluate, and maintain robust data analysis and MIS reporting for management to make timely, informed decisions (experience with Open Source tools such as R or Python is a plus)
  • Use Analytical BI tools to build and distribute results to management and operations
  • Analyze data and create and validate financial assumptions that feed into targeting and profitability models
  • Communicate results
  • Drill down into the data to find root causes of trends
  • Draw conclusions by making recommendations for developing or modifying marketing strategies with little or no supervision
  • Continually enhance standard reports

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree (OR related work experience) in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Management or Computer Science is preferred
  • 3-7 years’ experience in complex, data-driven problem solving
  • Strong Working Knowledge of data query tools such as SAS, SQL, R, Hive, Python, Oracle, VB and Unix
  • Experience with BI tools such as SAS VA, Tableau, MicroStrategy, Qlik, Cognos, and Business Objects
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and creative thinker
  • Strong written and oral communication skills necessary
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
