We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst for our Portfolio Analytics team in Wilmington, DE. This role will have the exciting opportunity to learn and drive significant business results through data mining, process development, reporting and analytics. The position will need to work with various partners, including marketing, digital, central and branches to understand reporting needs, and be able to build processes using SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS and Visual Studio to provide the partners the necessary reporting to drive the business or make critical business decisions.
A successful candidate will expand their competencies and grow their business and industry acumen, as well as demonstrate the ability to work on complex processes or projects across the end-to-end project cycle. They will gain knowledge to suggest new answers to old questions and continue experimenting with new technology to find better ways to provide information delivery throughout the company. In addition, this candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to partner with the leadership team and develop solutions that are executable and meaningful in practice.
Build, test, evaluate, and maintain robust data analysis and MIS reporting for management to make timely, informed decisions
Working closely with various internal business units to develop and prepare timely and accurate reporting and analysis
Provide support/expertise to business units related to existing/new reporting requests
Design, develop, implement, and manage production processes
Analyzing results of operations and performance based on environmental factors and changing business conditions
Actively look for ways to improve upon existing reporting/processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency to reporting and processes
Create and maintain ongoing performance management routines with senior operations leaders
Understand the data environment to appropriately prioritize and set expectations for key reporting, and analytical priorities
Effectively prioritize competing initiatives across direct reports; translate strategic priorities into individual/team initiatives and manage expectations
Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate a plus) in a quantitative discipline, such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics or Computer Science.
3+ years of experience in complex, data-driven problem solving. Master’s or PHD degrees may offset experience.
Strong SQL, SSMS, Visual Studio and Excel skills; experience with multiple types of relational databases and/or querying languages is a plus
Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems
Lending or consumer finance industry experience preferred
