As a critical member of the Recruiting team, the Talent Acquisition leader will provide strategic leadership to all recruiting activities for Corporate and Centralized business functions as well as all enterprise programs and initiatives supporting university relations, diversity, and military talent. This role will design and execute recruiting strategies, enhance the company’s visibility/reputation in key recruiting markets, and help position OneMain Financial as an employer of choice among target candidates. The successful candidate will provide leadership, support, advocacy, and vision to the organization to acquire talent that is in line with OneMain’s strategic direction and core values.
The Talent Acquisition leader will manage a team of recruitment professionals and be a key member of the Recruiting leadership team. S/he needs to be an engaged partner with human resources and business leaders, serving as a thought leader to ensure OneMain is able to develop talent pipeline strategies and build capability to effectively recruit/assess candidates for key functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in designing, building, and leading a quality Recruiting function for a high growth, innovative, fast paced organization.
Recruiting strategy and planning:
Lead and execute key strategic recruiting initiatives to drive increased client satisfaction, while providing overall strategic leadership and direction to a team of recruiting professionals.
Responsible for defining, developing strategic, world class campus, diversity and military recruiting solutions across the enterprise with a focus on continuous improvements in processes and efficiencies as well as partnering with key stakeholders to execute and monitor all programs.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement a talent pipeline strategy that ensures future talent needs are being met.
Provide leadership to the business to drive the alignment and adoption of OneMain’s Recruiting model, ensuring consistency in the approach to communicating the company's Employment Value Proposition, leveraging our Employment Brand, and providing a consistent candidate experience for talent at all levels.
Advise senior management in developing appropriate talent strategies based on current and future business needs (early in career, diversity, search assignments etc.)
Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.
Partner closely with HR and business to leaders to develop recruiting targets for specific business units.
Ensure Recruiting processes and practices comply with relevant legislation, policy, and best practice, in particular all forms of discrimination and equal opportunities.
Utilize Recruiting metrics and forecasts to plan and adjust requisition workloads ensuring team can respond to changes in business recruitment volumes in a timely manner.
Effectively manage the productivity and efficiency of the hiring process against plan through ratio of metrics.
Ensure that the recruiting team is maximizing the use of direct sourcing techniques and minimize the reliance on third party agencies.
Where needed, develop and provide expert advice on best sourcing channels and market trends, advise business leaders on best practice in the recruitment and selection process
Develop, monitor, and analyze key metrics measuring the impact and effectiveness of each program and the ROI to OneMain, leveraging external benchmarks.
Support the ongoing development of relationships with key stakeholders to identify strategies, and achieve the recruitment goals across multiple locations.
Point of escalation for clients and issue resolution.
Responsible for ensuring team delivery against strategic Recruiting initiatives / projects.
Analyze, consolidate, and present recruitment metrics on quarterly basis (and ad hoc as required)
10+ years progressive full life cycle recruiting experience or equivalent combination in a fast-paced environment.
5+ years’ experience leading and developing high performing recruiting teams
Proven success in developing diversity, university and/or military recruiting strategies.
Ability to anticipate challenges, diagnose problems, prescribe actions, and lead programs that have a direct impact to the business strategy.
Proven success in understanding and anticipating business priorities and contributing to the development of the business strategy.
Expertise in effective and appropriate influencing skills with business leaders and partners
