The Role 
We are seeking a VP/Director of Digital Marketing Analytics to join our team in Wilmington, DE. Digital marketing is a key area of focus for OneMain Financial as we continue our diversification from a branch-centric acquisition strategy to one that is digitally focused. As a key member of the analytics leadership team, this individual will manage data-centric analysts while partnering with the Marketing organization to develop, execute, and optimize all aspects of our Digital Acquisitions strategy. 

This role requires deep expertise in digital channel management, a strong analytical mindset, and cross-functional leadership skills. A successful candidate will have the ability to represent the company and engage with key business stakeholders, suppliers, external partners and investors. This individual’s skills enable them to be versatile. They can be successful leading various types of functions or initiatives across multiple disciplines of our business. They bring new ways of thinking, data sources, technologies and capabilities to our business. 


Working with various partners, the role will also have responsibilities of reporting, strategy implementation and validation, and ad-hoc analyses including customer segmentation, competitive analysis, performance monitoring, lifetime value analysis and modeling. 

Responsibilities 

  • Own and manage end-to-end analytics and performance improvement agendas for OneMain’s digital channels: Affiliate Marketing, SEM, Display, Paid Social, SEO, as well as emerging channels, such as YouTube and streaming audio. Partner with the Marketing team to define strategy given channel insights, performance goals and new learning opportunities. 

  • Develop deep expertise on each channel’s performance, be on top of recent KPI trends, and understand both the internal and external factors affecting both company- and channel-level performance metrics 

  • Develop learning agendas for each digital channel, with a focus on optimizing performance across the entire marketing funnel, from leads to bookings. Drive test design supported by statistical significance calculations, KPI dashboards, and analytical frameworks 

  • Partner with the Marketing team to execute new tests and programs, provide assistance with tracking, reporting and other analytical components of test implementation 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on advanced analytical concepts, such as audience selection and targeting, prospect tagging and tracking, attribution frameworks, real-time customer journey optimization, etc. 

  • Stay on top of evolving marketing technology trends, identify and build business cases for new partnership opportunities to continuously improve the sophistication of our marketing tools and measurement platforms 

  • Partner with Digital, Marketing and Pricing/Underwriting to influence the development of, and build marketing strategy for, new products and customer-facing tools 

  • Partner with Data Science to influence the development of new models to help improve marketing efficiency 

  • Partner with Finance/Risk to build channel forecasts, budgets, and to prioritize initiatives based on ROI targets 

  • Communicate with senior leaders across the organization to evangelize Digital Marketing strategy and keep key stakeholders, up to the CEO level, abreast of latest results and developments 

  • Manage a team of high-performing associates, aligned by marketing channel 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics or Computer Science. MBA or Masters with a focus on Marketing, Brand, or related field is a plus 

  • 7+ years of analytical experience in digital marketing. Master’s or PhD may offset experience  

  • 3+ years of experience managing people; proven ability to build, manage and incentivize high-performance analytical teams 

  • Hands-on knowledge of Affiliate Marketing, SEM and Display is a must. SEO experience is a strong plus 

  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with SQL, SAS and/or Python is preferable to perform data aggregation, segmentation, and reporting 

  • Hands-on experience with marketing-specific analytical tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, AppsFlyer, Heap, Conductor, etc.  

  • Experience leveraging data visualization and digital marketing tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker is a plus 

  • Strong cross-functional communication and influencing skills, including experience presenting to and getting buy-in on strategy from C-level executives 

  • Lending or consumer finance industry experience strongly preferred
