We’re looking for a strategic, senior-level copywriter and content strategist to evolve and systematize how we communicate the value of our lending and credit products throughout the entire customer journey.

Reporting to our Creative Director and working closely with UX, product marketing, and other key teams, you will own the development of compelling, relevant, and consistent product messaging that drives customer understanding, engagement, and conversion.

In the Role

  • Develop and evolve product/services messaging that clearly articulates the value of our core offerings across all customer journey stages.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Insights, Marketing, Product, UX, Business Stakeholders and Operations to deeply understand customer drivers, product features, competitive positioning and conversion points. C
  • Create strategic messaging frameworks that unify how we describe our products and services across touchpoints and teams.
  • Produce high-impact copy for key product moments with messaging that reflects brand tone, customer insights, and business objectives. This will be done through a combination of writing and providing direction/feedback to internal copywriters/content creators and external agencies.
  • Lead competitive and market messaging analysis to ensure our product messaging is differentiated and compelling.
  • Establish and document scalable content systems, templates, and guidelines to ensure messaging consistency across the enterprise.
  • Champion testing and optimization, working with marketing and performance teams to improve messaging through learnings from experiments and market feedback. Serve as the subject matter expert for product copy and messaging strategy across the company.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in content strategy, copywriting, or brand messaging, with a strong focus on product and customer journey messaging in a regulated or complex industry (e.g., fintech, SaaS, health, finance).
  • Proven experience translating product and customer insights into high-impact messaging that drives customer action.
  • Exceptional writing skills — able to write clear, concise, persuasive copy that reflects both strategic goals and brand tone.
  • Experience creating scalable messaging frameworks and systems for complex or multi-product environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills; comfortable leading cross-functional projects and aligning multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical and insights-driven; experience working in an environment that embraces A/B testing, conversion optimization, and customer feedback loops.
  • Adept at guiding and reviewing work from agencies and freelancers, maintaining a high bar for quality and alignment.
  • Familiar with CMS tools, content organization, or taxonomy systems (you won’t manage the content but will help architect the system).

Baltimore MD Target base salary range is $110,000-135,000, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
