Lead Collections Specialist
Location: Charlotte, NC
OurLeadCollection Specialistshelp drive performance across an assigned district by working directly with customers and supporting branch teams. You’ll use a consultative, solutions-focused approach to help customers resolve past-due accounts through appropriate repayment or settlement options. We’re looking for a results-driven professional who can balance empathy with accountability, negotiate effectively, build strong relationships, and coach others toward success.
In the Role
Manage a high volume of collection activity across an assigned district, with a focus on achieving delinquency goals.
Contact customers to understand their circumstances and help resolve past-due accounts through repayment or settlement arrangements.
Use approvedtoolsto identify solutions that support both the customer and the business.
Negotiate effectively while delivering a respectful and positive customer experience.
Partner with Branch Managers and branch teams to identify performance trends and provide targeted collections support.
Train and coach branch team members on delinquency management, account resolution techniques, and collection best practices.
Work closely with the District Manager to prioritize support based on branch and business needs.
Maintain accurate and timely account documentation while following all company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Travel to branches within and outside the assigned district as needed. You’ll have a primary home branch, and eligible travel will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
2-3years of related experienceincollections, consumer lending, financial services, or account resolution
Strong customer service, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize effectively, and consistently work toward performance goals.
Sound judgment, critical-thinking skills, and the ability to make informed decisions.
Ability to influence, coach, and build trust with customers and colleagues.
Willingness and ability to travel to branches within and outside the assigned district.
Ability to successfully complete all required training programs.
Preferred:
Previous experience coaching, mentoring, or training others.
Experience supporting multiple branches, locations, or teams.

Schedule:The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday during standard business hours, with some extended hours during the week as needed which may include Saturday.
