Director of Data Products - Shared Data Platform

Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Director of Data Products to lead and expand our shared data products organization within the digital product division. This strategic leadership role will have enterprise-wide impact, setting the long-term vision for the data platform, advancing analytics capabilities, and influencing digital strategy at the platform leadership level. You will build a team of data product managers and work cross-functionally with data engineering, product, design, and business leaders to deliver high-value data products and analytics solutions that drive business growth and optimize customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Set Strategic Direction: Own the enterprise vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the shared data platform and digital analytics products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and digital transformation goals.
Executive Leadership & Team Development: Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of data product managers. Establish clear goals, provide coaching and career development, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Enterprise Data Platform Partnership: Partner with senior data engineering leadership to define and deliver a scalable, secure, and future-ready data platform that meets evolving business and regulatory requirements.
Data Product Innovation: Lead the development of advanced analytics products that provide actionable visibility into customer behavior, product performance, and operational metrics across all digital channels.
Data-Driven Culture: Champion the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization, enabling business units to leverage insights to optimize customer experience and product performance.
Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce enterprise-wide best practices for data governance, data quality, security, and compliance with financial services regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the senior point of contact for business leaders, technology executives, and external partners on shared data platform capabilities, priorities, and outcomes.
Portfolio & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of data products—from ideation and business case development through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement—ensuring measurable business impact.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in data product management, digital analytics, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing managers and large teams.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
Demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-scale data platform solutions and advanced analytics products, preferably in financial services or a regulated industry.
Expertise in digital, customer journey, and cross-channel analytics.
Deep knowledge of modern cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP), ETL pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse architecture.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and drive strategic initiatives across complex organizations.
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable business strategies.
Experience in Agile product development environments.
Thorough understanding of data governance frameworks, privacy regulations, and security best practices in financial services.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with leading digital analytics platforms (e.g., Heap, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Master’s degree in business, data science, or a related field.
