We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill a Debt / Securitization Accounting Manager role in our Operational Accounting department. This position will be structured around monitoring and recording of transactions for our debt / securitization portfolio. This position will provide support around our secured, unsecured, and revolving debt at OneMain and will offer opportunities to expand and develop the role. The candidate will have exposure to Capital Markets/Treasury, SEC Reporting, Loan Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Policy/Technical Accounting, SOX and other key functional areas. Successful candidates applying to the Debt / Securitization Accounting Manager position will be able to execute the following duties:
In the Role
- Support the Debt / Securitization accounting department with review of daily / periodic / monthly transactions and balancing activities.
- Transaction analysis including strategic accounting such as securitizations, revolving credit facilities, and working closely with corporate accounting colleagues and financial leaders
- Support SOX controls, SEC Reporting and Financial Statement Review
- Updating, balancing, testing and enhancements related to the third-party debt system
- Develop, challenge, and implement process controls as appropriate
- Interact and coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit
- Other related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- CPA or CPA candidate, or
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or
- MBA or Master’s Degree in Accounting, plus
- 5+ years of progressive experience in an accounting department
- Strong proficiency working with spreadsheets
- Experience working with sourcing data
- Previous management experience in leading a team
- Consumer Lending Accounting or Finance experience desired with emphasis working with a debt / securitization portfolio preferred
