An opportunity has arisen within our accounting team for a dynamic and driven Accounting Professional to join us as an Accounting Specialist Sr. focused on Accounts Payable.

In the Role

• Perform accurate and timely invoice entry and payment processing.

• Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.

• Manage the Accounts Payable mailbox and respond to internal and external inquiries.

• Set up and maintain vendor records, including banking and tax documentation.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.

• Monitor invoice aging reports and follow up on outstanding items.

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, principles, and internal controls.

• Support the preparation of Accounts Payable reports and reconciliations.

• Provide excellent customer service to vendors, employees, and other departments.

• Participate in month-end close process

• Maintain accurate and organized AP files and documentation for audit purposes.

• Assist with year-end 1099/1042 reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with Procurement and Finance teams to resolve purchase order or payment issues.

• Support system testing, upgrades, and process improvements as needed.

• Perform other special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma. Some college is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working in accounting, accounts payable or other business related field
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and work experience
• Ability to follow established accounting and regulatory policies and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at different levels
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and an understanding of internal controls

Location: Irving, TX – Flexible Hybrid Schedule
