Apply Now Full Job Title: Senior Auditor Job Number: R2501-44550 Location: Irving, Texas; Fort Worth, Texas; Evansville, Indiana Date Posted: 02/04/2025The Senior Auditor is responsible for independently conducting audits of limited scope areas while also being an integral part of larger integrated audit teams. If performing a limited scope individual audit, the Senior Auditor will perform all duties expected of a lead auditor providing updates on work progress, identifying roadblocks, and participating in key project meetings.
In the Role
- Conduct audits of limited scope areas independently, adhering to established audit procedures and standards.
- Perform duties expected of a lead auditor, including planning, scoping, executing, and reporting on limited scope audit engagements.
- Participate in and/or lead walkthrough meetings, taking detailed notes for review with the lead auditor if assigned to an integrated audit.
- Develop Risk Control Matrices (RCM) for assigned sections of audits, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of key business risks and the company's risk appetite.
- Complete walkthrough and testing of assigned controls outlined in the RCM, assessing both design and effectiveness of controls.
- Communicate with auditees to obtain evidence or clarification on controls testing procedures and findings.
- Lead client meetings over assigned test areas and effectively convey audit findings and observations.
- Document any issues or observations noted during testing and collaborate with the lead auditor and director to communicate these to the client, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Assist the lead auditor in the closure of audit findings as assigned, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
- Maintain and enhance professional skills through continuous professional education, staying updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of business operations through continuous business education, staying informed about industry trends and developments.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other control groups within the organization to ensure alignment and consistency in audit processes and findings.
- Provide advisory services to the business based on audit findings and recommendations, assisting in the implementation of control improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
- Document work product in TeamMate+ to ensure transparency, accountability, and traceability of audit activities and findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related discipline. A graduate degree a plus.
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in audit or regulatory compliance for consumer lending.
- Meticulous, conscientious, self-starter, having the ability to successfully balance multiple projects and priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Teammate Plus, RSA Archer and common data analytics tools a plus.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Minimal travel required.
Preferred:
- Regulatory compliance experience in consumer lending
