Associate Director, Strategy and Analytics - Loan Originations
Location: New York, NY
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Director to join our Originations Strategy & Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping us transform our strategy and approach to how we make offers to our customers within the Loans Origination business. As part of this, you will combine your business acumen with a deep understanding of testing and data to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation, partnering closely with Product, Engineering and Operations to deliver key new strategies and capabilities to market. The ideal candidate will have strong experience solving business problems through data-driven analytics and have a passion for creating best-in-class experiences for customers, both internal and external.
In this role:
This role will be responsible for driving bottom line growth for our business through data-driven strategies that ensure the best offer is presented to the customer based on their situation and need. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a deep understanding of our customer segments and the offers we make (value proposition, economics and experience). You will also demonstrate the ability to think cross-functionally, weighing opportunities and implications across key areas of our business including marketing, credit, product and operations to develop the best overall solution for the customer and our business.
Responsibilities:
Develop data-driven analysis, monitoring and insights across the sales funnel; Influence leadership and drive action plans across key insights
Partner with other functional areas to bring a strategic and data-driven lens to decision making; closely collaborate with multiple partners in the matrix organization, i.e. product, technology, credit, operations, finance
Manage projects of various complexity from concept to execution; end-to-end ownership over specific subject areas
Effectively prioritize competing initiatives; translate strategic priorities into tactical initiatives; communicate and manage expectations
Mentor and develop more junior analysts across projects and subject matter
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a quantitative discipline, such as Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or Computer Science is preferred
7+ years of experience in complex, data-driven problem solving
Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with MS Office, Excel in particular; hands-on experience with one of BI or data visualization platforms a plus (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
Experience with various statistical methods (sampling, hypothesis testing, time series analysis, residual monitoring)
Prior experience with financial analysis, sales analytics and BI a strong plus
Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems; strong data and insights intuition, intellectual curiosity
Strong drive to explore, learn and get things done
Ability to work independently, make sound, fact-based recommendations, think strategically
Prior people (direct or indirect) or project management experience desired
Location: Hybrid // Tuesdays - Thursdays weekly

[New York] Target base salary range is $150K - $180K, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
