Collections Supervisor
The Collections Supervisor leads a team of 12–15 collection agents, driving performance improvement, accountability, and achievement of portfolio goals. This role requires advanced collections knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a talent for coaching team members while collaborating across departments to deliver results and support the financial well-being of customers.
In the Role
- Review metrics, call quality, and provide feedback for continuous improvement and goal attainment.
- Facilitate training, direction, and administer corrective actions as needed.
- Negotiate with customers to resolve delinquency and ensure compliance.
- Meet production indicators and performance targets in a goal-driven environment.
- Address collections servicing requirements across accounts and recommend strategies for capacity planning.
- Collaborate with Risk Operations and participate in recruiting and retention efforts.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma / GED required.
- Advanced understanding of collections and strong negotiation skills.
- Experience resolving escalated calls.
- Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead collectors.
- Effective self-management and workflow prioritization.
- Skills in interpreting procedures to determine best resolutions.
Preferred
- 5–7 years of supervisory experience in a collections environment.
