The Collections Supervisor leads a team of 12–15 collection agents, driving performance improvement, accountability, and achievement of portfolio goals. This role requires advanced collections knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a talent for coaching team members while collaborating across departments to deliver results and support the financial well-being of customers.

In the Role

  • Review metrics, call quality, and provide feedback for continuous improvement and goal attainment.
  • Facilitate training, direction, and administer corrective actions as needed.
  • Negotiate with customers to resolve delinquency and ensure compliance.
  • Meet production indicators and performance targets in a goal-driven environment.
  • Address collections servicing requirements across accounts and recommend strategies for capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with Risk Operations and participate in recruiting and retention efforts.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma / GED required.
  • Advanced understanding of collections and strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience resolving escalated calls.
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead collectors.
  • Effective self-management and workflow prioritization.
  • Skills in interpreting procedures to determine best resolutions.

Preferred

  • 5–7 years of supervisory experience in a collections environment.
