Verification Specialist
The Verification Specialist will be responsible for accurate and timely investigation of sub-prime consumer loan applications. Ensure that critical loan approval stipulations are addressed, resolved, and meet company policies. Identify and escalate complex issues as they are identified. Support both a Centralized Sales operation and a nationwide branch office network.
In the Role
- Verification activities may include validating identity, address, and social security number; employment, auto insurance, automobile value, lien and title verification; analyzing proof of income and disposable income; fulfilling loan requests, perfecting liens and reviewing loan documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform funding-related activities, including reviewing and validating all required documents prior to funding, confirming accuracy and completeness, and ensuring all funding stipulations meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of funding tasks to meet service level expectations and provide a seamless customer experience.
- Identify and escalate funding discrepancies or complex funding-related issues to ensure loans are funded accurately and without delay.
- Provide escalation support on complex issues that may occur to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan stipulations.
- Identify, investigate, and/or escalate potential fraud risks.
- Act as a liaison between multiple internal and external customers and/or vendors. This will include written and verbal communication with Centralized Sales, Underwriting, and Branch personnel.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in verification processing and/or fulfillment.
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- High level of motivation to deliver results.
Location
Tempe, AZ // Hybrid: 4 days in office (Mon-Thurs)
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–7:00 PM (local time)
Saturdays, 7:30 AM–1:00 PM (local time; up to 3 per quarter)
