OneMain Auto is currently seeking a talented individual to fill the position of a Dealer Relationship Manager for the Houston, Texas region.   

Dealer Relationship Manager is responsible for generating quality applications for indirect auto retail installment contracts for their assigned region.  This is accomplished through the maintenance of current dealer relationships as well as growing the market through building new relationships with franchise and independent dealerships.

In this role the Dealer Relationship Manager is responsible for promoting the current OneMain Auto program, following up on potential deals, reviewing and improving dealership efficiency, and when needed addressing any identified issues.  The Dealer Relationship Manager is also expected to be the primary advocate for both the dealership and internal credit staff to ensure all parties are effectively communicating and working together.

Location: Must currently live in or around Houston, Texas

Schedule: Full-Time based upon company and dealership needs

Pay: base salary + commission

Job Responsibilities:

  • Marketing and promoting our indirect lending options and services

  • Manage dealer relationships to achieve volume objectives with maintaining a quality product

  • Review and follow up on approved applications to promote conversion to funded contracts

  • Support and promote our culture of teamwork and integrity

  • Manage marketing plans to align with corporate goals

  • Identify and communicate dealership needs, market conditions, competitor trends/programs

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Must have experience currently or previously as a direct or indirect lender representative

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in auto sales, finance, and/or credit underwriting is required

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to make consistent quality decisions

  • Must be self-motivated and work independently

  • Able to meet objectives within deadlines

  • Must have strong marketing, sales, and relationship management skills

  • Knowledge of dealership operations and the indirect finance industry required
