As an Impound Specialist, you will ensure the timely and effective placement of impound repossession assignments. This includes reviewing all incoming impound notices, contact holding facility for details, and follow up with customer or appropriate agency. Also, reviewing assignment details to ensure all State and Federal requirements are met. This position will serve as a point of contact in maintaining vendor relationships, including assignment follow up, fee authorizations, and invoice approvals. Once repossessed, you are required to send state notifications and processing invoicing.

Location: Onsite in West Valley City, UT (No hybrid or remote opportunity)

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review received impound notices or through the Loss Alert system of record

  • Outbound/Inbound call attempts to customers to obtain insurance information and customers intentions

  • Recovery of seized or impounded vehicles, following State and Federal guidelines

  • Maintain professional and effective communication with repossession agents, impound lots, and various internal departments

  • Completes required applicable paperwork including sending all required Federal and State regulation letters

  • Responsible to send state required notice of intent letters for the repossession and skip departments

  • Assignment of other non-impound repossessions as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education & Training:

  • 1+ year Collections experience preferred

  • Knowledge of repossessions and auto loans preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to prevent loan loss

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • 1+ year office experience or equivalent education and training.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word

  • Excellent Customer Service
