Manager, Strategy and Analytics

Location: Wilmington, DE (Hybrid)


OneMain is currently seeking a Manager for our Strategy & Analytics team in Wilmington, DE. This individual will leverage data driven strategy, artificial intelligence, and analytics to help optimize customer and shareholder outcomes with a particular focus on operating model transformation. These strategies include, but are not limited to, testing alternative channel and footprint strategies and their associated need for key performance drivers, staffing model and optimization, incentive structure, and workforce management and capacity.  

A successful candidate will expand their competencies and grow their business and industry acumen, as well as demonstrate the ability to work on complex processes or projects across the end-to-end project cycle. They will gain knowledge to suggest new answers to old questions, develop insights and push the traditional boundaries of the branch experience. In addition, this candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to partner with the leadership team and develop solutions that are executable and meaningful in practice.  

The Role

  • Leading the development and design of analytical programs focused on optimizing OneMain Financial’s loan production
  • Designing and executing new strategies and tests across Originations, Servicing, and Collections efforts in alignment with our overall transformation objectives 
  • Developing techniques to identify and quantify capital generation impacts of expansion and contraction opportunities, communicate those techniques and outcomes to senior leaders
  • Developing data-driven analysis, monitoring, and insights to directly influence both new tests as well as the evolution of existing experiments 
  • Understanding the data environment to appropriately prioritize and set expectations for key stakeholders, reporting, and analytical priorities 
  • Partnering with other functional areas to bring a strategic and data-driven lens to decision making 
  • Effectively prioritizing competing initiatives across supplemental resources; translating strategic priorities into individual/team initiatives, communicate prioritization with cross functional partners, and manage expectations 

Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Management or Computer Science is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in complex, data-driven problem solving. PHD or 2nd Graduate Degree may offset experience. 
  • 5+ years of experience leveraging tools like R / Python/ SAS / SQL and Excel to perform advanced modeling and analysis.
  • Innovative and capable of developing a highly analytical approach to solving problems
  • Experience designing and executing new strategies and tests across Originations, Servicing, and Collections lines of effort in alignment with executive guidance 
  • Experience developing data-driven analysis, monitoring, and insights to directly influence both new tests as well as the evolution of existing experiments 
  • Experience partnering with other functional areas to bring a strategic and data-driven lens to decision making 
  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence tools to develop analytic insights
