Job Title: FP&A Expense Manager – Branch Operations

Position Summary

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented FP&A Expense Manager to lead financial planning, forecasting, and expense management for our national branch network and marketing function. This role will serve as a key partner to Branch Operations & Marketing leadership, providing insights that drive operational efficiency, cost discipline, and strategic investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly and quarterly OpEx forecasting, including compensation, occupancy, supplies, and discretionary spend categories for both Branch & Marketing teams.
  • Partner with Marketing, Branch Operations, HR, and Procurement to model headcount plans, hiring trends, and attrition impacts across 1,300+ branches and 5,000+ field employees and all Marketing channels.
  • Analyze and explain variances to plan, outlook, and prior year across key cost drivers such as salaries, benefits, overtime, occupancy, professional services, direct mail, affiliate, social, et al marketing channels.
  • Own the development of branch-level productivity metrics (e.g., approved applications, originations, pull-through rates) and their linkage to financial performance.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as branch refresh programs, vendor transitions, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations for MYF, MBR, and forecast reviews with senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Expense Team and Corporate FP&A to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide planning cycles and reporting standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably in a multi-unit retail or financial services environment.
  • Strong command of financial modeling, variance analysis, and headcount planning.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial planning systems (e.g., Hyperion, TM1).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Baltimore Maryland - Target base salary range is xx-xx, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance.
