VP/D Risk Management
We are currently seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join our Enterprise Risk Management Team as Director for second line oversight of enterprise-wide change management. This role is responsible for designing and leading a comprehensive oversight framework that ensures changes to low-code and no-code operational processes—as well as technology-driven changes—comply with policy and technology change management standards, mitigate risks, and support successful implementation across business units.
In the Role
Integrating Operational Change Oversight: Own the enterprise-wide change management vision by designing, implementing, and continuously evolving a structured framework that supports strategic transformation.
Oversee the development of toolkits and build organizational capacity by training internal change agents. Develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for an oversight program to ensure consistent adherence to change management policies and standards across the organization.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of change management projects, ensuring timely delivery and required quality standards.
- Implement a structured process to inventory self-managed applications and business processes, enabling visibility into change activity across the organization.
- Track key metrics and report progress, challenges, and opportunities to leadership, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
- Establish clear accountability for change outcomes by defining success measures, monitoring adoption at scale, gathering stakeholder feedback, and continuously refining organizational practices to strengthen change maturity and drive sustained impact.
- Develop and implement a robust and scalable methodology to assess adherence to operational and technology change management policies and standards, including evaluating risk exposure across self-managed applications, low-code/no-code platforms, and technology-driven changes.
- Partner with key stakeholders to conduct detailed impact analyses and develop strategies that minimize disruption and maximize adoption. This integrated approach proactively identifies gaps or emerging risks, drives resolution efforts, and strengthens the organization’s overall risk posture while ensuring smooth and effective change execution.
- Establish and maintain consistent testing protocols across teams and business units to validate the effectiveness of controls aligned with change management standards.
- Ensure uniformity in execution, monitoring control performance, and coordinating remediation efforts where needed. The goal is to drive continuous improvement in control design and execution, enhancing the overall control environment.
- Lead the refinement of enterprise change management policies, standards, and procedures while engaging with legal, compliance and internal audit to ensure integrated oversight of change-related risks.
- Team alignment: Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across business, technology, and operations to address challenges arising from program launches and ongoing enhancements.
- Partner with initiative lead and communication teams to develop and evolve communication strategies that foster strong understanding and commitment to strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with other team members in operational and enterprise risk to achieve shared goals, supporting a product-centric approach that aligns risk management practices with business objectives.
- Partnership with Technology: Partner with Technology Change Management Governance to implement and maintain a tracking system for change activity, ensuring visibility into both Technology and non-Technology changes.
- Align roles and responsibilities across teams and promote the sharing of best practices to drive consistency and accountability. In addition, review technology-related incidents to assess control effectiveness and identify potential breakdowns in adherence to the published Technology Change Standard.
- Collaborate closely with technology quality assurance teams to investigate root causes, address gaps, and reinforce compliance with established protocols, ultimately strengthening the organization's change management discipline.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure understanding of their processes and adherence to change-management expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (required) with 8+ years of relevant experience; ideally in second or third line oversight within Enterprise/Operational Risk, Compliance or Audit with an understanding of control testing processes and procedures.
- Ability to work in fast-paced ever-changing environment and the ability to work independently.
- Understanding of technology implementation and its impact on the organization.
- Experience leading and delivering complex, cross-functional projects with enterprise impact, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive alignment across diverse teams, and ensure successful execution in dynamic environments.
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret information with diligence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, verbal and written, to gain trust and achieve business objectives as well as strong presentation skills.
- Familiarity with Archer GRC platform, change management tools and Power BI is desirable
Preferred:
Knowledge of Operational Risk is a plus
