VP/MD - Personal Loan Credit
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic credit leader to develop and manage an integrated set of credit underwriting strategies for our personal loan product. This role is pivotal in driving resilient, risk-adjusted growth through data-driven decision-making, innovative frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in consumer lending, pricing optimization, effective communication, and credit risk management, along with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and delivering strategic impact across the full credit lifecycle.
In the Role
Strategic Leadership
Lead the development and execution of underwriting strategies that balance risk, margin, and volume across products and customer segments.
Design and scale best-in-class credit infrastructure to support operational efficiency, automated risk management, and valuations.
Create and drive strategic credit initiatives that align with enterprise goals and unlock resilient business growth.
Team & Talent Development
Build, lead, and coach a high-performing team of credit analysts and managers.
Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous development.
Analytical & Technical Execution
Conduct advanced statistical analysis and modeling using regression and machine learning to understand customer behavior and forecast outcomes.
Develop profit-driven decision frameworks and risk strategies within risk appetite, with a full credit-cycle view.
Oversee reporting, performance monitoring, and strategy validation to ensure continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with product, finance, risk, and operations teams to drive improved credit performance across the organization.
Act as both a strategic leader and internal customer to ensure alignment and execution of business priorities.
Communication & Influence
Translate complex data into actionable insights for executive leadership.
Communicate strategy progress, performance, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Management, Computer Science); Master’s or PhD preferred
10+ years of experience in consumer lending, with deep expertise in pricing, credit strategy, and risk analytics
5+ years of leadership experience, including team development and strategic planning
Proven ability to develop innovative, data-driven solutions to complex business problems
Strong knowledge of pricing optimization tools, credit decisioning frameworks, and customer segmentation techniques
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
