VP/D - Strategic Suppliers - Cards Program
OneMain Financial is seeking a strategic and operationally-minded leader to manage OneMain’s critical partnerships with FIS and Mastercard. This role is responsible for transforming our current vendor oversight into a structured, value-driven engagement model that supports the growth and efficiency of our credit card program. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in supplier relationship management, operational governance, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partner Oversight
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for FIS, OneMain’s credit card processing platform provider.
- Establish and evolve a structured engagement model that supports both tactical execution and long-term strategic alignment.
- Lead the development of a joint roadmap with FIS that aligns with the aspirations of the Cards program.
Operational Governance & Performance Management
- Design and implement a comprehensive oversight program to manage
Ticketing and issue resolution processes
Performance metrics and service level adherence, including development of a quarterly scorecard
Professional services delivery and associated costs
- Collaborate with Cards IT/Engineering and Product to define and operationalize a robust change and control process between OneMain and FIS.
Financial & Invoice Management
- Own the end-to-end invoice management process for FIS and Mastercard
- Analyze service cost structures to identify cost drivers and recommend operational or contractual changes to reduce expenses
- Ensure transparency and accuracy in billing, and proactively manage variances or disputes
Mastercard Relationship Management
- Support the Mastercard partnership by managing invoicing, performance tracking, and alignment with program goals.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and Mastercard to ensure smooth collaboration and issue resolution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams including Cards Product, IT, Finance, and Legal to ensure alignment on vendor strategy, performance, and compliance.
- Act as a key escalation point for vendor-related issues and lead resolution efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
10+ years of experience in vendor management, strategic sourcing, or operations leadership
Proven experience managing complex vendor relationships, preferably in financial services or fintech
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost structures and identify optimization opportunities
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
