Associate Director - Technology Procurement
Location: Irving, TX
The Associate Director of Procurement at OneMain is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end sourcing process within the Technology category. This includes developing and executing category strategies that optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives. The Associate Director of Procurement will lead large-scale procurement initiatives, negotiate favorable terms with a large supplier base, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive category performance improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, strategic sourcing expertise, and the ability to manage complex Procurement activities from start to finish.
In the Role
Develop and implement category strategies that align with company goals and drives value, cost savings, quality improvements and innovation.
Conduct thorough market analysis to understand industry trends, supplier capabilities, and competitive landscape within the category.
Lead competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations and negotiations.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure alignment with category strategy.
Lead the end-to-end sourcing process understanding the dynamics of sourcing modern cloud services and supplier relationships - SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, including the preparation and management of RFPs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including contract negotiations, renewals, amendments and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Serve as the primary procurement advisor and strategic business partner for business units, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and promoting early procurement engagement.
Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring that suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements, resolve supplier performance issues and develop corrective actions plans when needed.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnership and continuous improvement.
- Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance and value creation initiatives while increasing spend under management and support financial objectives.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Accounts Payable, Technology and internal stakeholders to ensure effective execution of procurement strategies and contracts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
6+ years of experience in Procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing, with a proven track record of success.
Deep expertise in RFP drafting and completing all necessary sourcing review, including vetting for security, data, and compliance safeguards.
Experience with Cloud Hyperscaler and demonstrate how new contractual relationships drive optimal savings.
Proven negotiation skills with experience in managing high-value contracts and supplier relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Expertise in providing leadership to help teams identify redundant or overlapping functionality amongst SaaS products, as well as prevent multi-sourced spending.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and collaborating with cross functional stakeholders.
Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, manage multiple priorities and develop actionable insights to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Procurement software and tools; experience with platforms like Coupa, Oracle and SAP is preferred.
High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical Procurement practices.
