About the Role
We are seeking a Director – GenAI Product Strategy to support the build, development and execution of AI-powered products and capabilities that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role will be instrumental in supporting the roll out ofAI at OneMain, working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, credit, compliance, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the AI function including governance, product, training agenda and the organization journey towards becoming a GenAI fluent organization.
Lead the development of AI solutions across areas such as credit decisioning, fraud detection, customer personalization, and operational automation.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate business needs into scalable AI models and tools.
Ensure AI products meet regulatory, ethical, and fairness standards.
Use data and experimentation to validate hypotheses and optimize product performance.
Communicate product vision, progress, and impact to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Foster alignment across cross-functional teams through clear documentation, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
10 + years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML products.
Proven track record of delivering AI-driven solutions in a regulated industry (financial services preferred).
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model lifecycle, and data infrastructure.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.
Experience with agile methodologies and product development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with responsible AI principles and model governance.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and GenAi vendors.
Knowledge of financial services, lending, or credit risk analytics.

This role is Hybrid. You should be located within a commutable distance to our office in New York City, NY, with expectations to be in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
