OneMain Financial (NYSE: OMF) is a leader in providing responsible access to credit and is committed to improving the financial well‑being of hardworking Americans. Through bold investments in technology and product innovation, we are reimagining how lending works—both for our customers and for the team members who serve them.

Catalyst represents that commitment in action: a strategic reset of our origination platform, built collaboratively across Technology, Product, Operations, and Analytics to support OneMain’s future growth.

We’re hiring a Director of Product Management to lead Catalyst, one of OneMain Financial’s most important transformations. Catalyst is a multi‑year effort modernizing our core loan origination platform—replacing legacy systems and transforming how thousands of team members and millions of customers do their work every day.

This role is for a senior product leader with strong executive presence who can set strategyand drive execution, partner deeply with Engineering, and lead complex platform, experience, and analytics work at scale. It’s a high‑visibility role with real impact on how the business operates.

What You Will Do

Own the Catalyst Product Strategy

  • Define and drive the end‑to‑end product strategy and roadmap for Catalyst, aligned to OneMain’s long‑term business and technology transformation goals.

  • Lead a complex portfolio spanning team member and customer experience, platform modernization, and analytics capabilities, ensuring all elements move forward cohesively.

  • Translate strategic objectives into sequenced, executable product plans that support incremental delivery at scale.

Lead Customer and Team Member Experience Transformation

  • Own the vision for how team members interact with loan origination systems—simplifying workflows, reducing cognitive load, and accelerating proficiency.

  • Ensure Catalyst delivers intuitive, modern experiences that enable team members to learn faster, perform better, and operate with confidence.

  • Partner with operations and field teams to continuously incorporate real‑world feedback into product decisions, reflecting Catalyst’s “built with the business” model.

Deep Partnership with Engineering & Design

  • Operate as a true peer to Engineering leadership, jointly accountable for outcomes rather than handoffs.

  • Balance architectural integrity, delivery velocity, and long‑term scalability as Catalyst replaces legacy systems across originations.

  • Drive disciplined scope management and sequencing decisions that protect platform stability while enabling progress.

  • Partner with Research and Design to balance speed, quality, scalability, and sustainability.

Analytics‑Driven Enablement

  • Ensure analytics and data capabilities are embedded into the Catalyst experience to support smarter decision‑making, operational insight, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner closely with Analytics teams to turn data into actionable insights for team members, leaders, and the product organization.

  • Use data to define success metrics, track progress, and inform trade‑offs across the roadmap.

Execution Excellence & Operating Rigor

  • Lead multiple product teams and workstreams with strong operating cadence, clarity of ownership, and accountability.

  • Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, Analytics, Risk, Legal, and Compliance.

  • Maintain a team‑over‑individual mindset, fostering collaboration, shared accountability, and trust across disciplines.

Executive Communication & Leadership

  • Serve as a senior product leader and spokesperson for Catalyst, communicating vision, progress, and risks to executive audiences.

  • Bring strong executive presence—able to synthesize complexity, frame decisions, and drive alignment at the leadership level.

  • Coach and develop product leaders, raising the bar on strategic thinking, execution discipline, and cross‑functional partnership.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership of large‑scale, complex platforms or transformations.

  • Demonstrated success leading high impact product initiatives that combine technology modernization with operating‑model change.

  • Proven ability to partner deeply with Engineering and Design counter parts in highly technical environments.

  • Strong strategic mindset paired with a track record of execution—turning vision into delivered outcomes.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, and stakeholders.

  • Experience working in regulated environments, ideally within financial services or lending.

  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, including senior and executive leadership.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience modernizing or replacing legacy core systems at scale.

  • Background designing or delivering team member and customer facing platforms (e.g., operations, originations, servicing, or workflow systems).

  • Strong understanding of analytics, data platforms, and how insights can be embedded into user experiences.

  • Experience leading product organizations through multi‑year transformation journeys.

  • Familiarity with cloud‑based architectures and modern software delivery practices.

  • Knowledge of lending, credit, or loan origination domains.
