Verifications Lead
The Verifications Lead will be responsible for helping to lead a team of verifications specialists who provide accurate and timely investigation of sub-prime consumer loan applications. Ensure that critical loan approval stipulations are addressed, resolved and meet company policies. Identify and escalate complex issues as they are identified. Support both a Centralized Sales operation and a dispersed network of 1,800 Branch Offices. Responsibilities and accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
• Establish self as a role model to junior roles regarding all aspects of the verifications job function and provide guidance to junior roles regarding work effort, quality of work, business partner relationship management, etc.
• Foster a high energy, high performing team culture
• Support the QA team when directed by Management regarding special projects or tasks
• Assist with the assessment of training and education of new to achieve a high level of work product
• Complete monthly team QA in partnership with management
• Provide constructive feedback and guide peer work efforts in a respectful and meaningful manner
• Analyze applicable data sets, internal reporting to identify potential compliance violations and process improvements across all Verifications responsibilities and areas of review
• Demonstrate and maintain a strong knowledge of OneMain policy and procedure to identify potential compliance and/or process violations, recommend updates to procedures and policies, and be a source of reference to the management team regarding policy interpretation and application
• Review, maintain and ensure accuracy of team procedures and work with Team to identify and vet discrepancies within the procedures to escalate to management
• Review provided account information and recorded calls as required by assignment and analysis for potential violations and test enhancements
• Effectively navigate Corporate and Partner systems & accurately document accounts
• Clearly communicate all violations to employee’s manager through established and approved feedback channels
• Maintain the development/retention of training processes including but not limited to creation of procedural documentation and hosting training sessions/call calibrations inside the team
• Monitor daily and/or weekly reports, ensuring reports are running properly, and the team has all necessary data for review completion
• Lead meetings with business partners and senior leadership when necessary
• Complete QA process for verifications team, in conjunction with management
• Lead regular touchpoint sessions with management to advise of trending violations, issues, or performance gaps
• Complete assigned tasks by deadlines; support other team members in completion of department goals and deadlines
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by identifying, and communicating, with the management team potential opportunities or gaps within policy, procedure, or process that may be a root cause for lack of adherence by employees and provide potential process enhancements/suggestions to increase efficiency, business support, etc.
• Respond to and support the fulfillment of requests for additional control assessment as assigned by management
Requirements:
• Education - High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, while supporting the achievement of both individual and team level goals
• Ability to review and analyze large data sets to identify potential compliance or process violations or anomalies

Experience (Minimum Requirement):
• 3+ years of Verification experience
Preferred:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Advanced knowledge Avaya or similar software experience
• 1+ years of quality assurance experience
