As a Skip Trace Specialist, you will locate customers and collateral using various investigative (skip tracing) techniques, always adhering to FDCPA and CFPB regulations. You will manage a repossession queue of approximately 70-100 accounts and work to maintain charge-offs at an acceptable rate as determined by management.
Location: Onsite in West Valley City, UT
Pay: Hourly + bonus potential
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, with a rotating Saturday shift every 6 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and complete skip tracing activities on all assigned accounts to prevent charge-offs and company loan loss, including inbound/outbound calls to discuss delinquency resolution.
  • Maintain and establish new repossession and transport vendor relationships.
  • Manage all assigned accounts from repossession assignment through transportation of the vehicle to the auction.
  • Complete all required paperwork, including sending all required Federal and State regulatory letters.

Required Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of skip tracing experience.
  • Previous collections or call center experience.
  • Strong understanding of skip tracing and relevant systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent customer service, phone, and negotiation skills.
