Document Specialist
The Document Specialist will provide services and perform activities associated with document processing including document preparation for distribution, scanning, copying, filing, data entry and delivery of prepared documents.
In the Role
- Prepare, sort, and process a variety of documents for internal use and distribution.
- Operate departmental equipment, systems, and software to complete daily tasks.
- Assist with routine record‑keeping and documentation requirements.
- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on office equipment.
- Receive, sort, and scan incoming vendor deliveries.
- Complete daily courier services across the Evansville campus.
- Verify that captured data and scanned documents are accurately associated with the correct customer accounts.
- Lift and transport materials or packages weighing up to 40 lbs. as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- A valid driver’s license is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort learning new software systems.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain organized filing systems.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting office equipment.
